The National Championship Barbecue Cookoff, now in it's 21st year, is an invitation only event for cookers who have won or placed in a recognized barbecue cookoff during the past year. Last year, over 190 cooking teams competed for over $19,000 in prize money, and to raise money for national and local charities. Peripheral events to the cook-off include a Celebrity Cookoff, a concert, a visit from Miss Texas, a dance, a fish fry, an auction, arts and crafts show, and a car show. |
